5 Things to Love about The Coach House Fermanagh

When I visited the Coach House in the Spring of this year I was immediately struck by how peaceful the location is.

Looking down onto Killyfole Lough it couldn’t be more idyllic, and even by Fermanagh’s standards it was pretty impressive.

But the location is just one of the reasons why you will love The Coach House.  Read on to find out more…

5 Things to Love about The Coach House Fermanagh

#01         Man needs Fire!

Coach House Fermanagh

The Coach House has one of the most visually stunning real fires I’ve ever seen.  Set into the stone brickwork, it’s absolutely huge, and when it’s roaring there are few finer things to gaze at.  It’s also rather clever in that it helps to heat the whole house, so when you’re enjoying a nice Autumn / Winter break there you can be toasty and warm.

#02         Anyone for boating?

Coach House Fermanagh

Killyfole Lough is literally a stone’s throw from the Coach House.  This peaceful body of water offers guests of the cottage a number of delights including the opportunity to Kayak on the water. And if you prefer something less energetic just take a stroll around it, the path follows its entire circumference.  Keep an eye for the many species of birds and wildlife which call the Lough home…

#03         Want for nothing

Coach House Fermanagh

The owners of the Coach House Caroline & Mark have a little motto, that their guests should want for nothing.  And that is certainly the case with this holiday cottage.  They have tried to think of everything, so you will find a well-equipped kitchen, lots of local information and heaps of indoor and outdoor equipment for whatever you want to do that day.  They’ve even included a picnic hamper for those lazy afternoon walks…

#04         Keeping the kids happy

Coach House Fermanagh

If there is one thing I have learned about holidays since becoming a parent it this; if the kids are happy, everyone’s happy.  The games room at The Coach House is guaranteed to keep the little ones (and the not so little ones) happy for the duration of your holiday. You’ll find Nintendo Wii, snooker table, table football and whole host of other delights..

#05         Keeping the grown-ups happy

Coach House Fermanagh Hot Tub

And while the kids are enjoying all of the above you can treat yourself to a Spa afternoon.  The Coach House has access to a fabulous out-door hot-tub looking out towards the lough, and a wooden sauna set in the woodlands.  What better way to relax and forget about the strains of everyday life!
